CHICAGO, IL (December 13, 2022) – TAWANI Property Management, a community investment arm of TAWANI Enterprises, announced today that it plans to close its historic vacation and event rentals including Lang House Chicago, Emil Bach House and Lincoln Way on December 31, 2023. The closing of these unique homes will also be the closure of the organization’s hospitality division. All guest reservations will be honored until the end of 2023.
For eight years TAWANI Property Management Hospitality has been the proud partner of Lincoln Way in Franklin Grove, Illinois, as well as manager of Lang House Chicago and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Emil Bach House in Rogers Park. These beautiful historic homes have hosted many guests, families from around the globe, numerous wedding couples, and business and leisure travelers enjoying the best of the Midwest. TAWANI Enterprises periodically reviews and revises its business strategy to reflect changing marketplace conditions and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

TAWANI will maintain its partnerships with the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy and Frank Lloyd Wright Trust as options are evaluated for the future of Emil Bach House. TAWANI will also be reviewing options for Lang House Chicago, and working in partnership with the owners of Lincoln Way to plan for the next chapter of these very special homes.

Lincoln Way offers five beautifully appointed suites with private bathrooms and a bounty of amenities. Emil Bach House is an historic landmark and was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1915 for the Bach family. Located near the shores of Lake Michigan on Chicago’s north side, this iconic home points to future stylistic directions that the architect’s work would take, including the home’s contained geometry, efficient scale, and modern window designs. The home features three bedrooms, two full baths, a Japanese tea house and spacious grounds and landscaped gardens on a double lot on Sheridan Road, with great access to the city.
